Grand Cherokee

  • 115,000 miles
The handling of the recall for the occupant restraint control module has been very poor. I was notified in February of this issue. The local Jeep dealership's service department (san leandro Jeep) has been horrible. I have been there three different times in the past several weeks, after checking in several times prior for an update on the replacement parts. The first time, they kept the car overnight and somehow did not get the job in the system so my car was not repaired. In follow up, they set up another appointment and when I dropped my car off again, at that time I was told they did not have the safety replacement part. Not only has the manufacturer been slow to the point of avoidance in addressing this serious safety issue, the local dealerships are under prepared and untrained in how to provide customer service.
