Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. The contact owns a 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee. While driving 60 mph the steering column was loose and the contact lost control of the vehicle when driving over a bump in the road. The failure mileage was 42900. The dealer on one of three occasions replaced the tracking bar and front steering damper. Also, the dealer stated that the steering column could be replaced at cost to the owner. The current mileage was 44200.
