Grand Cherokee Limited 5.7L V8 Hemi

  • Automatic transmission
  • 49,750 miles

While driving home, as I was stopping at my gate, all the dash lights starting flickering, AC blower and radio turned off for 10 seconds then came back on. It did it again about 3 times within 2 blocks of my home. Engine did not turn off but was pretty scary. The ESP/BAS light stayed on as well as the tow light and traction control light. When I came back 30 minutes later, started the car, all lights were gone with no problems at this time. This is very distracting and can cause an accident.

Every winter for the past few years when the outside temperature is in the low forties to thirties the car instrument panel goes into a cycle of all instruments (speed, temp, gas, etc) off scale low and all warning lights coming on. This will continue randomly for several cycles on off. After a while the problem stops until the car is started again. Coincident with this the power to the ventilation blower is lost.

I checked for lose or blown fuses, but none found. When warm weather returns the problem goes away?

This past winter I took it to a local Jeep dealer. They checked the computer codes, but found no problems. They told me the next time it was happening to come right in and leave the engine running. I did as requested. They still came up empty!

The thing that is troubling about this is that it is distracting, and while it is happening you lose the speedometer indication.

On my way home from work all of a sudden all the dash "idiot" lights started flashing like a Christmas Tree! It lasted about 3 miles. All turned off except for the engine light. This is not the first time it happened. Last time I had taken the car to my auto repair guy and they couldn't find the problem. Now i have to try again.! Let's see what this is going to cost me!

Grand Cherokee V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 78,000 miles

while driving my jeep in normal conditions on a clear night all the gages. lights and power in my vehicle started unexpectedly flickering on an off making it very difficult for me to to see or continue safely. They continued until I turned my vehicle off that night. The next day when I tried to drive my vehicle to work it started normally but soon began doing the same thing again. Now my jeep wont start. Upon doing research I've seen that this is a very common problem that Chrysler/Jeep is not addressing by a factory recall. What is it going to take someone dyeing or a huge accident......

Grand Cherokee 4x4 V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 72,000 miles

While driving, all my sensor lights started flickering on my dash and when they all came on, my gauges would drop to zero, my heat would shut off and the jeep would lose power in speed. This happened 6 times for about 30 sec each time on my 25 minute drive home from work.
