Vehicle puts up a service shifter message then puts up a service transmission message. All power in the car is disabled and the car involuntarily slams into a random gear, sometimes 1st, sometimes 7th, other times neutral. After many failed attempts for a fix at local dealerships, I was driving to the store on Friday, March 6th 2020. Im driving going around 45 mph. The power suddenly cuts off and my Jeep is locked in neutral with the engine running. No headlights or hazards would work. I push the power button turning the engine off trying to restart. No power other than interior lighting. Mind you, I'm stranded on a 4 lane highway in the rain and snow in the dark with no hazards. I had to call 911 and have them block the street so I could push the car off the road into the grass. Once again at the dealer and after 6 days they haven't any clue what is wrong. They need a recall for whatever is going on here. My life was in serious danger because of a faulty product.

We started our vacation drive to Florida June 9, 2019 when we got to Florida June 11, 2019 we got a message that popped up on our vehicle that said service shifter. We were really upset because we just bought the vehicle on June 6, 2019. The dealership wants us to pay a $250 deductible for the issues we are having with it. This should be covered under our warranty.

I was changing out my brake pads, a fairly common procedure, when I noticed there was oil dripping from my chassis shield I have. Turns out I have a problem with the engine oil filter/oil cooler assembly. Apparently, you have received complaints in the past for this issue. From what I have read online, this is a very common problem that is affecting the majority of Chrysler's make and models of vehicles that use this assembly. This is not confined to Jeep vehicles only. The assembly itself is made out of plastic and is seated right on top of the engine block. The seal is kept by 3 or 4 O-rings that warp when exposed to the heat of the engine and then leak oil into the exterior valley that is created by the piston cavities. This is a big risk of engine oil flame up and total destruction of the engine. From what I have read, the valley in the engine can hold onto about 2 quarts of oil before it starts to leak and is noticeable. This is a danger for drivers that don't know they are running low on oil and their engines could seize up as a result. Now I know why my car had just shy of 5 quarts of oil in it when I changed the oil and my car holds 6 quarts to just be in the safe zone on my dipstick. I ask you to please launch an investigation on the substandard design of this part. I have included the websites I have been reading about this below: Https://www.jeepcherokeeclub.com/threads/oil-filter-housing-leak.237208/ https://dodgeforum.com/forum/Jeep/374968-serious-oil-leak-issue-2014-3-6L-3-2L-pentastar.html

The week I bought the vehicle, a message pops up saying 'service shifter' and when my vehicle is in park it doesn't shift into drive sometimes. I had to turn my vehicle off and turn it back on in order for my car to go into drive, while sitting in line at a car wash. When I hook a computer up to my car there is no codes that pop up, my gear numbers on the screen stay white, they never turn red. The 'service shifter' is on the whole time my vehicle is running and stays on the dash when I turn it off.

After the mandatory emissions modification that was required on the ecodisel 3.0 liter Dodge and Jeep vehicle, there has been a significant decrease in vehicle performance. The vehicle has lost performance in shifting, acceleration (response), fuel efficiency and overall power. This is not only performance related, but also a major safety issue as it makes it difficult to accelerate properly when making turns into oncoming traffic.

Vehicle had an aem recall performed and now the interior of vehicle as well the exterior reaks of diesel fumes all there is a terrible hesitation and at times almost a delay in the throttle we have made numerous complaints and trips to the Jeep dealer they say they cannot find issues the reason behind it. I spoke to lynn at fca customer care badge number LN187 extension 3020187 she told me if I was concerned I should return vehicle to dealer which I have done numerous times since the end of May.the vehicle is not safe due to fumes let alone the throttle working when it chooses

Pulled into parking spot at same time car shut down on its own- got out to go into store and pressed the remote key to lock doors, all lights flashed on vehicle-vehicle would not lock tried again-lights flashed-did not lock. Walked back to car to see what was happening-car went into run position though not running and internal lights on dash were on and push key was in run position-called aaa to tow- the tech could not find any reason why car was in run position although not running. When tech started to pull car onto flatbed it started by itself- note-with no one in the car and no remote buttons used. Was then able to drive car directly to Chrysler Jeep they had it for 4 days could not find any reason or codes. Released car to me. Drove it home. Next day-same issue. Used the remote lock to lock doors-lights internal and external lights flashed-car would not lock-looked at dash and again it had gone into the run position on its own, although car was not running. The push start in car said run. Called Chrysler to start a case no.. called Chrysler Jeep to have tech come and troubleshoot problem while issue is current along with the star techs from the manufacturer. Waiting for them now. Afraid car will shut off by itself while driving on a highway and or start running by itself while in the garage and/or public parking. Tech stated it seems to be going into neutral on its own and getting stuck. Will input further information as they continue to try to troubleshoot my Jeep gc 2014.

I recently did the emissions recall update for the ecodiesel. Since the update I have had very abrupt shifting and noticeably bad turbo lag. When I pull out sometimes I don't get up to speed in time because the lag is so.bad bad from my pedal to the engine. Lastly now that is a little colder outside I have noticed when the car shifts from 2nd gear to 1st gear it does so very abruptly and alarmingly.

After driving over a curb in a busy retail store parking lot, my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee went into full acceleration. I could not slow it down with braking, as the brake was totally ineffective, although I had full pressure on the pedal. I crashed into another vehicle, which severed my lower control arm, the wheel swung out and was cut into two pieces, and the axle came out.as a result. I had reached speed exceeding 40 mph in a second or two. It was the most traumatic event I have ever been in. I have researched dozens of accounts of this exact vehicle experiencing "sua" or sudden unintended acceleration where it could not be slowed and went into uncontrolled speeds leading to crashes. Here is the link: M.carcomplaints.com/Jeep/grand_cherokee/2014/engine/vehicle_speed_control-4.shtml I am injured as a result and will require extensive follow-up medical care. I am enclosing pictures of the aftermath. Please help me obtain some assistance from this manufacturer to provide compensation for my loss and subsequent damages. Consumer stated I was contacted by the fca inspection team that the inspection was completed on November 4.

The contact's wife owns a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that there was a software patch update that was required for the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to dutchess Chrysler Jeep Dodge (2285 South rd, poughkeepsie, NY 12601, (845) 462-7700) and the update was performed. Upon the update being performed, the vehicle would not accelerate over 30 mph without warning. The contact also stated that the vehicle would stall at various speeds without warning. Furthermore, the vehicle jerked while driving various speeds and the check engine warning indicator later illuminated. When the check engine indicator illuminated, all the internal electric units, such as the phone charger, 3G wi-fi, voice control system unit, and other electrical units failed to operate. The contact took the vehicle to healey Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram (557 NY-52, beacon, NY 12508, (845) 831-1148) where they replaced a sensor under warranty. The check engine indicator initially turned off after the sensor was replaced; however, the failure recurred soon after the remedy was performed. The manufacturer was notified of the failures and stated that they were still awaiting another software update to correct the failure. The vehicle had not been repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 70,000.

The oil filter housing on this car is cracked, leading to a oil leak and pooling problem which is a significant fire hazard issue to the passengers. This happens while driving and when the car is stationary causing a pool of oil to collect in car and drip on floor. This is a known problem - NHTSA has recorded a number of complaints from users (e.g. id 11244788,11230350, 11193883 etc.). the company has also issued a service bulletin: Sb-10058301-5939. After fca issued recall and required update done, dangerous driving conditions exist. The update is referred to as the V08 aem update. After update done SUV became dangerously sluggish. When trying to accelerate to merge into traffic, power is dangerously low. This putting the drivers and passengers in danger when expecting SUV to perform as pre update. SUV also began to lurch forward when coming to a stop, which if not paying attention could cause an accident to occur. In addition SUV now shifts very hard, which doesn't purpose any safety issue, but does make the SUV uncomfortable to drive.
