I purchased Jeep new in April of 2015. In April of 2018 I took it into Neilsen Jeep in East Hanover for an issue with bubbling paint on the hood, and they told me that it was a known issue and that at first FCA was changing the hoods due to a known problem with the welds. I was then told that FCA had a fix for the problem and could seal the faulty welds. So I dropped the Jeep off and had to pay for a ridiculously overpriced rental car at my own expense (which FCA refused to pay BTW).

January of 2020 21 months after the repair the problem has resurfaced again. So I brought it back to Neilsen Jeep on Feb. 2nd. After not hearing back for two weeks I called the customer service department of FCA who told me they had not yet received a submitted the warranty claim, and a week later I called the dealer back only to leave messages that were not returned so I called FCA customer help again, they told me I should try another dealer so I took the Jeep to Ricci Jeep in Budd Lake NJ, after not hearing anything for 3 weeks I called FCA again who informed me the warranty claim was rejected back on March 11th.

I asked the representative Joshua for his full name (which he refused) and his location (which he also refused to provide). I asked for a letter of rejection in writing (which he also refused and told me it was against their policy) Jeep obviously has a policy of not standing behind their products. I guess my next step is to start writing letters of my tale of woe to the new CEO Michael Manley headquartered in London.

The paint problem started from day one, it was the top of the car with a different color tone, and when I reported it, they repainted the roof free of charge. Then last year it showed again on the hood and the top of the car, and unfortunately the extended warranty ended June 2019, the service told me that this is not the only case. The reason is parking the car outside the garage under the sun. Now it need to be repainted the whole body. Will cost around 1800 USD, and will take about 3 weeks to be done.

Purchased a brand new 2015 Grand Cherokee Overland High Altitude. Purchased the vehicle when it was raining and a detail was not performed at the dealer. Got it home and detailed the car the next day. I have found several spots of dirt in the paint and three of the four doors have paint bubbles in bottom corners. Two of the doors appear to have clear bubbles that have popped, which I assume was the clear coat, and one door has a bubble which has busted and is missing paint now. Also, my driver door has a small spot where it appears something struck it and is missing paint, but no dent. Took it back to dealer and all they can do is submit photo's to Chrysler and see how they want to fix it. That was two weeks ago, and I have yet to hear anything back from dealer.

Poor quality control and poor customer service! I expect much more when I purchase a $52K vehicle...

Hi friends. I just spent $71,000 and bought Jeep Grand Cherokee. Its paint work is a big disappointed. We do not expect this sort of job from such an expensive car. I also added the photos of this bad job done on the car. When I look at the paint work of this car it feels like its been done at the back yard. Paint dripping marks on the different parts of the car. This shows that workers in the Jeep company not checking the product properly while making it. Which is a big concern. I do not know that else I am going to get faulty down the track. Otherwise vehicle looks and drives beautifully. Very quiet on the road feels very good inside.

Jeep workers are letting this brilliant vehicle down.

My new Jeep, bought not even a month ago has some paint / finish issues worth mentioning that I am noticing the longer I own the car. The painted trim around the wheel wells has yellow spots baked into the paint, and the hood has a round flat spot about the size of a quarter. This is unacceptable in a $40,000 vehicle.
