Jeep Liberty leaks a significant amount of water into car every time it rains. Passenger side builds up over an inch of water during every rain. I have looked online and see that this problem happens all the time in Jeeps. It is gross and car constantly smells of mildew and may potentially be unsafe if mold is growing. Jeep is well aware of problem but does not fix.

Less than a month after buying this Jeep used we had a typical Indiana thunderstorm and I noticed that the passenger side floor mats were wet. I removed the mats and lifted the carpet and used a fan to dry up the water before mildew set in but I have not been able to locate the source of the leak.

The door seals seem to work fine. I did notice if I have the front end of the Jeep facing down a slope that I do not get this unwanted water.

I have tried all sorts of tests to re-create the leak myself but have not been able to. It does not happen with every rain - just the strong rain storms.

Along with the window regulator problems that Jeep will not own up to I will never buy another Jeep.

If anyone knows the source of this leak I would certainly like to fix it.

Thanks!
