Driving my 2010 Jeep Liberty, stopped at a stop light and the car shuttered slightly and died. Brand new 7 month old car, battery is fine, started right back up, just stalled out for no apparent reason. Not on a incline, car was flat, automatic transmission, 68 degrees outside, not hot/overheating, no gauge or warning lights came on before or after it died. No ac was in use. Only thing being used was vent and the cigarette lighter to power my son's dvd player in the back seat. No stereo was on either. Online research showed in Jeep forums that other owners have had this similar problem with their Jeep stalling out for no apparent reason. Jeep has given them no explanation or offer to fix. Taking mine in on Monday am to dealer to inquire as to what could have possible caused this. Do not know if mine is part of the two recalls that Jeep has out now for the Liberty but will inquire about them as well, and ask if they could be the cause of mine stalling out for no reason.
