anything with a switch goes out
It seems like all jeeps of this era have dead reliable drive-trains but awfully cheap electronics. You will see connection issues over the course of your ownership...guaranteed. Its no big deal, just a jeep thing. Doesn't affect driving operation at all but the more manual controls you can get the better. This particular jeep has all manual windows and locks so we've had no trouble there. After a year of owning it though, the front speakers suddenly started working! It was awesome, didn't even know I had them until they just randomly decided to put sound out.
