Purchased a 2014 jeep wrangler unlimited with 20,853 miles beginning 10/2015. Subtle rattle heard similar to a loosened heat shield. Car was young at purchase. Made appointment in later Nov. Dealer was unable to get us in until late Dec after significant holiday mileage.. The jeep needs a new clutch assembly. After 2 months of jeep ownership we are told we are responsible for wear and tear. After 2 months!! At 26,000 miles?? Upon researching issue online this clutch issue is an epidemic concern. One would hope jeep/Chrysler would want people to buy a safe vehicle. This is irresponsible and life threatening to road drivers since a faulty clutch assembly can cause a vehicle to malfunction. I contacted Chrysler directly and they offered not to help in relations with dealership and leaves it to the service manager at the dealership. They were given ample opportunity and information and there was no Accountability on their part. As of yet. This is not a wear and tear I caused and I have purchased a faulty vehicle. I hope nothing happens on the road while driving if they do not fix this irresponsible decision and not take safety of their customers a priority. Selling faulty cars is a liable act. Knowingly selling one is worse. You could injure or kill someone.
