Prolonged water leaking into the car from rain would result in 1-2 inches of standing water during rainy seasons (most of the year). I had the seals around the door replaced twice within 3 months, but the water still persisted. The Jeep dealership acted as if the water leak was a rare occurrence until warranty ran out, then they admitted that the seals were never going to stop the water leak, and the leak is now the manufactures problem, not theirs.
I looked online to find out that water leaks are a prevalent issue with every make and model of Jeep Wranglers across the years, and the manufacture has never been forced to fix the issue through recall. Left to battle leaks without a warranty has resulted in mold throughout the car, and the seats and floor mats needing to be replaced. Mold does not come out of fabric seats once it is established.
I found videos of people battling mold issues all over the internet. Also, not a concern to dealership... I'm waiting to hear back from Chevy manufacturer as to whether or not they love their product as much as those who pay $40,000.00 to have it turn into a bio-hazard in under 4 years.
