Driving to work one day and I hear a terrible screeching noise coming from the front wheels. I couldn't figure out exactly where it was coming from so I pulled over. I then called a tow truck from my roadside assistance that the car came with. They came and towed it to dealer. Dealer told me the wheels were definitely making noise metal on metal and they told me it was a good thing to bring it in. They still couldn't find out what was causing it so they told me it might be a bad wheel bearing but then they thought the rotors needed to be turned.
They wanted $200 to turn the rotors. My car has 7,000 miles it doesn't need brakes. I told them to rotate the tires and that seemed to fix it. A few months later it happened again. I regularly have my tires rotated and oil changed so I don't know what really caused this. Warranty was NOT going to cover rotors or wheel bearing/hub. Thanks KIA
