We own a 2002 Kia Sedona. We bought it brand new! After owning it a short 7 months, we have RUST!! There is rust on the trunk near the chrome trim and on the hood near the chrome trim. A Kia rep. said they were aware of this problem and offered to repaint the affected areas! Can you believe it? Repaint a brand new car! We are sick at this suggestion. Kia customer service is totally useless. Their rep is completely unavailable to us. The dealer said they only come around every couple of months! We asked for his number and they said they didn't have a way to reach him!! Painting over rust will only cover the problem. It is sure to come back. Kia won't do anything but what the dealer recommends. OF COURSE! Kia called them before we even brought the car in. I am sure they got their answers straight with each other. God forbid they do the right thing and replace this lemon! Besides the rust, we have sudden acceleration problems, terrible belt noises and air conditioner noises. The Sedona has an excellent safety rating but other than that GOOD LUCK!!
