An object struck the passenger side rear axle between the spring and tire causing the emergency brake cable to set the brake on the right rear wheel while I was traveling at 65 mph on an interstate highway. An emergency stop was required to maintain control. In order to safely drive the vehicle, the cable had to be forced back to its original position to free the brake.
