The consumer owns a 2004 Kia Sedona. He stated he received a recall letter on June 13, 2005 and since then he has been unable to get his vehicle repaired. The dealership keeps telling him they do not have the parts available he did speak with the manufacturer and they just tell him to go to another dealership to get the repair work done. He does not feel safe driving this vehicle because he can't get this done. The recall was on the alloy wheels, moisture could accumulate around the rear hubcaps.

Contact received a recall letter around 6-15-05 concerning alloy wheels. The consumer called the dealer, and they told her the best they could do was put her on a waiting list. They could not tell her a specific time when she might be called back. There were more than 30 people at dealer with similar problems.. she contacted the dealer the very same day she received the letter. The last time she called, (on July 12,05, she told them to put her on the list. They did recommend another Kia dealer further away. She did not want to go further away due to the safety issue involved.

Consumer received a recall letter around June 13, 2005. She contacted the local dealership, and was told the parts were not in. She called back today and the parts still were not available. She called Kia, and they told her to call back and have the vehicle inspected until the parts were available. She has to call back again to arrange for that.

On 10/17/04 while driving to work I heard a noise like I had a flat, when the vehicle was checked there was no flat. I drove the vehicle to the nearest exit. When I attempted to move the vehicle the whole tire fell off the vehicle, the rear drivers side. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where new parts were ordered. In my opinion I dont feel safe driving this vehicle because it could happen again and next time I might not be luckey. I could have killed or my whole if they were with me.
