The contact owns a 2007 Kia Sedona. The contact stated that he initially received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V088000 (Electrical System, Service Brakes, Hydraulic). A year after the recall repair was performed, while his wife was driving 55 MPH, grayish smoke started coming from under the hood. While she was pulling over, the ABS warning light illuminated the instrument panel due to both front brake calipers locking up. The contact-€™s wife allowed the vehicle to cool down for a while and was able to restart the vehicle and drive home without further incidence. The contact, who is a mechanic, then drove the vehicle to his dealer for an inspection and discovered that water had entered the EBCM (Electronic Brake Control Module) which caused the module to corrode. The contact also discovered that both fuses in the under-hood fuse block had blown which caused the smoke. Upon replacing the fuses, the same failure recurred with smoke coming from the engine due to the replacement fuses being blown. The contact then spoke with the dealer where the recall was performed and was provided a diagnostic fee to inspect the vehicle. The contact then reached out to the manufacturer where he was provided a case number but had not yet received a follow-up call from the manufacturer. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was 135,701.
The Kia van was parked, turned off, keys were removed, outside in our business parking lot. A person driving by noticed it was on fire and called the fire department. This happened around 12 am. (midnight) the local fire department responded to the call and reported to the scene.

Some electoral problems are happening. When driving or parked the brake lights appear in flashing manner and during that 5 second time it will lock and unlock my windows and if I am using my suppers they stop working sometimes. Also sometime the windows dont work and thebradio also messes up and changes station with out me touching it. Thisbhas been an ongoing thing for ag least 3 years. Also it use to not startvat forb2 days and then itbwoukdbstart with no help. I woukd come throuhh the pasengers side and startbit fine. Lots if electric issues.

While parked the brake tail lights stay on; while driving the cruise control malfunctions, and ESC light indicator illuminates and stays on. It is the same problems as the recall NHTSA #13V114000 and the Kia recall #SC098, but my VIN number apparently isn't listed as one that is affected, which it is! I have noticed it a couple of months ago, but now they all are getting worse. I did not know it was a recall problem.
Stop lamp switch was replaced in 2013 due to safety recall 13V114000. At present the ESC light is malfuntioning and the vehicle will not shift out of park. Took the vehicle to our Kia dealership and the service department determined that a faulty stop lamp switch was the cause. The switch was replaced and vehicle operates as normal. A request for reimbursement has been submitted to Kia for the cost of the repair. This is a major safety concern and I feel it is the responsibility of Kia motors to issue another recall.
The ESC light illuminated in my Kia Sedona for two years on and off not until recently did I realize when this happed the brake lights would not illuminate. I brought car in and was charged $250 to replace the brake light switch. I saw this was a recall on 2007 Kia Sedona but dealer stated it did not include my Kia Sedona how can the same exact thing that happened on almost 1 million Kia and Hyundai not be the same thing on my Kia Sedona. I believe my Kia should have been part of the recall and I should be issued a refund for this repair.
Brake lights not illuminating, ESC light is on that it is not functioning check engine light looked up that it was a recall on 2007 Kia Sedona but when entering my VIN # it does not show
The electrical doors stopped working and do not latch, the door fly open when we turn a corner. The ESC light is on. My brakes and transmission has malfunctioned.. malfunctions in SC 134. SC133. SC098. The ;suspenision and clicks and clutters. Since this year alone my van has malfunctioned in all the areas, U can see when looked at...the doors alone are dangerious.
A year ago I do receive a recall letter notifying for rusty lower arms wheels to be replaced but such thing never happened. The dealer just apply more rust inhibitors but procedures was not the appropriate cure for the problem. When the vehicle is on motion a very disturbing noise came just under the wheels. See pictures they are more self explanatory just the driver side it's shown due to file limitation.

The contact owns a 2007 Kia Sedona. While driving at approximately 25 mph, the vehicle accelerated independently. The brake pedal was depressed, but the vehicle continued to accelerate. In order to stop the vehicle, it had to be restarted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 61,000.

The contact shifted the vehicle into neutral and pulled over to the side of the road. The vehicle was towed to the dealer who diagnosed that the brake switch needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 96,750. The VIN was not available.
