The brake lights went out. The bulbs were replaced. The fuse was replace and there still no lights. The top led brake light works, but lower lights on each side are out. I don't know if the brake switch is the problem when the upper led works. I have researched the issue and discovered that this is a xommon kia issue with many models. When a Google search is conducted for "kia no brake lights it comes up with other people that have the same issue with multiple models."
Check bgd warning light came on screen while travelling at 40-45 mph on a straight stretch of city road. Car immediately slowed down. Lost power brakes and power steering. Other dashboard lites came on - -check engine light, etc. I brought vehicle to stop and placed transmission into park, . vehicle did not restart and the transmission was locked..dealer retained vehicle for 28-30 days and was not able to repair it. Dealer subsequently repurchased the vehicle from me.
I drove the van in the morning and all was well. Stopped at a grocery store and when I started it up in the afternoon the stability control sensor and the anti lock sensor stayed on all the time. Got home, turned the van off then on again and the sensor warning lights didn't reboot. Don't know what the problem is but will take to dealership for diagnosis.
The contact owns a 2015 Kia Sedona. While driving approximately 5-10 mph approaching a red light, the vehicle accelerated on its own when the brake pedal was depressed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, but they were unable to locate a failure. In addition, while driving approximately 20 to 25 mph, the contact was unable to stop the vehicle and crashed into the driver side of another vehicle and a tree. There were no injuries and a police report was filed. The vehicle was towed from the scene and repaired. The VIN was unknown. The approximate failure mileage was 1,000.
The contact owns a 2015 Kia Sedona. While pulling into the garage and attempting to depress the brake pedal, the brakes failed without warning. As a result, the vehicle crashed into the garage. A police report was not filed and there were no injuries reported. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the diagnostic results were unknown. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 1,500. The VIN was unavailable.
