Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

I bought car from private person for $3000. Car was very clean, no rust and good body. I explained that I had little money and needed a car to get back and forth to Ft. Myers a lot due to elderly parents. Was informed this car was in top condition and would last for years. So I drove it and it seemed fine, took to my mechanic and they could find nothing wrong. Two hours later at 60 mph car started to shake, this was a continuous problem and still happens to this day. The car after five months started to stall, then die . It would restart. was told bad battery so got a new one. Happened again and was far away from home, person I knew sprayed with starter fluid and it started. I was driving home when car died again. A nice person stopped he happened to be a mechanic and not far from home. He went and got starting fluid and sprayed it, car started and I was lucky that it made it home. (30 minutes). Next morning would not start not even with starter fluid, towed to mechanic, they put in new fuel hose. Drove it home but never made it home because car stalled and died. Had it towed back and a new fuel pump put in. The air was hot and I was told I needed a new switch and Freon (spelling). $187 the had to order part. took car home and was driving ok. I assumed problem fixed. What I did not realizwse was that the dash board was now not working...thought I had full tank of gas...was funning on fumes . Car died I was one block away from gas station. Nice guy pushed me off main road. tried three times and stated..made it to station where I got gas. was running good for a month or so. All windows lost power except driver side and front passenger side. Electric problem. This was a real pain but o day they started working again????!!!!! problem on new form. Nuna
