I thought Kia backed up their vehicles, especially one which was taken really good care of. This is an internal problem with the engine. Oil used has no paraffin wax in it for a build up to occur. My mechanic also informed me of Kia having prior problems and that this should be handled and taken care of by my dealer who in turn has permanently closed. so addressing this at a another Kia dealer has not gotten me any solution as well, just replace the engine for $6,000 new or used engine $3,000. The maintenance on this vehicle has been taken care of since day one and this vehicle has not been abused. My mechanic will vouch that my sportage was well taken care of and this is solely a manufacturer issue but no one wants to be responsible. So I will call channel 5 on my side or even further this in order to get a resolution. My vehicle also locks up in wet rain conditions which makes this vehicle a death trap.
