Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

The contact owns a 2010 Lincoln Mkx. While driving approximately 50 mph, there was a delayed response when the accelerator pedal was depressed. The entire instrument panel illuminated and other gauges became inoperative for a brief moment. The failure occurred intermittently and became progressively worse. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who stated that the throttle body assembly would need to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 68,000.....updated 10-27-15 the consumer stated the problem was the electric throttle body. The consumer had to pay out of pocket, for the repairs. Updated 11/03/15.

The contact owns a 2010 Lincoln mkz. While stopped and in reverse with the brakes applied, the vehicle suddenly accelerated and crashed into a concrete wall. The contact sustained injuries to the left arm. The vehicle was towed to a local auto body shop. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 10,000.
