The contact owns a 1999 Lincoln Navigator. The contact stated that the entire rear end of the chassis had rust on it, was rotten and broken. The drive shaft fell off of the vehicle while he was driving approximately 35 mph and both leading arms broke off of the vehicle. The chassis and the frame were beginning to separate. He took the vehicle to two repair shops and was informed that the failure would have potentially caused a crash to occur. He called the manufacturer and was told to take the vehicle to an authorized dealership. The vehicle had not been repaired to-date. The current and failure mileages were approximately 86,000.
