When I purchased the car (used) I was assured by the dealer that Mazda had fixed their premature rusting issues from earlier generations due to the use of new steel blah blah blah. The problem is that the paint/clear coating is very poor and is prone to stone chips and those chips lead to rust. I am very meticulous with keeping my car clean and new looking and having rust starting on a 4 year old car is very disappointing.

chips on front of car due to cheap paint

Only after 4 months owning and 3000 miles, I have at least THREE (3) stone chips on hood/front of car. Seriously?? I know have to figure out how to fix and not spend hundreds of dollars. For the price, the paint job should be a little better than this!
