After a drive in excess of 5-10 minutes and above, when I turn off the ignition, the fan can be heard working extremely hard for the next 2-5 minutes before it turns itself off. I am not certain if this is a dangerous issue, but I do get quite a few, "Hey! Why is your car still on?"

fan control module

i contacted Mazda of America through email, they said my vin isn't one covered by the recall, yet the part number is exactly the same in my car as is recalled. All the symptoms were exact as to what the recall was issued for, surging fan speeds, failure of the fans to turn on or off. Anything to save a $ and make a $.
