I own a 1999 Millenia S V6. At first the check engine light came on the after a couple of days the check engine light would disappear. So I am wondering whether it is a fuse or a malfunction. Couple weeks later notice slow accelerating on takeoff. Subsequently took car to Mazda dealership, there I was told not exactly sure cause of problem . Each diagnosis would be additional $100.00 with no results guaranteed. Pick up car from dealership at that point could diagnose into thousand of dollars. Second visit to Mazda dealership car remained for 2 days.

This 99 Mazda Millenia S has a total of 53000 miles and informed by dealership that it needs 3 catalytic converters to the tune of over $3,000 dollars. The car has never had a tuneup or any other major defects. Not sure if dealership is being honest or setting someone up for a major ride.
