Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Please take a moment & say thank you by donating $5 or whatever you can to the Center for Auto Safety.

Overdrive light flashed on and off, and check engine light stayed on. Transmission shifted hard. Dealer discovered four solenoids defective because they were steel plated. Manufacturer stated consumer will have to repair at his own cost. The consumer stated that 4 soleroids inside the transmission are going bad. Steel plates in transmission show thermal damage. Rear door locks not functioning and making a shorting sound.

Under low acceleration between 1st and 2nd and between 2nd and 3rd gears there is a very low frequency noise that sounds like it is generated by a vibration. This has happened since the car was purchased new. I have had it in twice for repair to no avail and the dealer refuses to keep the car overnight to investigate the issue further.

My transmission completely failed at 18,000 miles and one month shy of being a year old. A new transmission was installed. I had my car back for one week and the new transmission would down shift for no reason as I was doing 70 mph down the interstate. After replacing the computer, throttle position sensor, throttle range sensor, and the engine wiring harness, Mazda has now decided to replace the new transmission. This will be the third transmission in a year old car.
