Why can't Mercedes build a power moonroof that doesn't fail so early? This is the third time we've lost a power mechanism on their moonroof (different cars). Why can Lexus, Infiniti, Acura, BMW, Jaguar, Toyota, Honda, NIssan and Volvo build cars that don't have sunroof problems this early? We just took a trade in on an E class and sure enough, the moonroof jammed! Very disappointing for a well engineered luxury vehicle.

The sunroof opened normal. When we tried to close it, it made a clicking noise, but wouldn't move. We physically pushed it and it started to move, but when it got to the part where it pulls down, it started clicking again. We had to push down while pushing the button. The mechanic said the gears are bad and we need to change the entire sunroof. We'll just keep it closed for now.
