Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

2002 Mercedes C320 air bag did not deploy on either side. *** no answer required*** the air bags failed to deploy during a head on collision with another vehicle. The consumer feels that had the air bags deployed neither he nor his wife would have sustained injuries. The consumer contacted the manufacturer and they are going to send a factory inspector to inspect the vehicle.

Drivers side and passenger side airbags failed to delpoy during a fourty-five per hour front collision, dealer has yet to be contacted. Consumer stated the tel-aid also failed to operate, in which it was unable to brake the vehicle.
