Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

The contact owns a 2014 Mercedes Benz E350. While driving 5 mph, all the electrical functions failed in the vehicle. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 900.

The contact owns a 2013 Mercedes Benz E350. The contact stated that the vehicle experienced unintended acceleration while stopped at a traffic stop light. The vehicle would not immediately respond after depressing the accelerator pedal but would suddenly accelerate forward. Additionally, the contact indicated that the failure sporadically occurred when the vehicle was in reverse. The backup camera had also become inoperable. The vehicle was taken to the dealer several times but the failure could not be diagnosed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 3,000. Updated 08/18/14 the consumer stated the dealer drove and inspected the car. The acceleration was felt but, did not program to the vehicle's computer. Updated 09/5/2014

The contact owns a 2013 Mercedes Benz E350. The contact stated that while in park with the emergency brake engaged, the "risk of rolling away, not in park" warning message displayed. Additionally, the dashboard display screen failed. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer. The manufacture was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 8,000 and the current mileage was 10,500. Updated 6/18/14 the consumer stated she experienced accelerations problems with the vehicle. The dealer was unable to find a problem.
