Started happening in 2004. Had other problem that required replacement of flywheel and starter. After that repair I still had problems with no ignition. You turn the key and nothing happens. Battery is good. I've taken it in several times to both local repair shops and to a ford dealership. Ford could not find the problem as it was starting at that time, however a local repair shop replaced the "safety switch" and that did not correct the problem. Since it is an intermittent problem, it is very difficult to get repaired.

The car gets stuck in park and won't start. Often if I strongly wiggle the gear shift it will start. Many times that won't do it. Twice has been towed but by the time it gets to the dealer it will start so they say there is nothing they can do. Three times it has done this in 110+ heat (I live in Phoenix) and has left me to futz with it for over an hour in that heat.

Help ... any reported solutions anyone knows of.
