Problem when car is driving along normally... gauges simultaneously swing all the way to the right, then all the way to the left; dash lights brighten then dim and engine dies. Forced to coast to the side of the road whether it's a highway or side street. Hit or miss if the car starts minutes or hours later. If it's not going to start, then the battery doesn't click or anything. If it is, it starts right up. (No opening the hood necessary...) might or might not. It's anyone's guess!! Have already replaced battery at 16,000 miles and again around 50,000 as well as two alternators about 20,000 miles and 75,000 miles! At 88,000 started to show early signs again.
