Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Ltr fm louis hettinger(ky) owner of a 1998 Mercury Grand Marquis 4-door vehicle question if vehicle should be recalled because of fast idle. The iac valve was replaced on the vehicle but did not help the problem. The service dealer stated that there was nothing else they could do to resolve the issue. There were other consumers who experienced the same problem. (there was a fast idle upon start up and the vehicle would slow down at short notice.
