I own a 2000 Grand Marquis with 41,000 miles and had to replace the drive haft. I was getting noticable vibration above 65. Drive shaft was bent. Vibration is gone but there is some low level noise from the rear end. Mechanic says it is the gears. I also own a 1999 Grand Marquis with the same optional equipment as the 2000. The 1999 has 71,000 miles and runs smooth and quiet.
