Mercury Grand Marquis 2001 with pedal adjuster raised in up position causes the car to have a burning brake smell. When the pedals are in a rasied position, and the car is driven for 30 to 60 minutes, the smell is that of burning brakes. Dealer has checked once and cannot find the problem.
