I purchased the car used and had a key made at a hardware store. When I tried to program the key using the owners manual, it did not work. I took the car to the dealer and they charged me $85.00 to reprogram the Passive anti theft system, (PATS). They claimed that the key I bought was bad and they had to re-program my car.
