On September 29, 2017 around 9-10 pm, my husband had just picked me up from work and I was 6 months pregnant, we were driving down the highway and a car on the opposite side of the highway pulled out from the light and hit us on the driver side wheel and fender and broke the steering knuckle, the rack and pinion and broke the steering wheel loose, also the suspension. My car was disabled from the accident. I also had to be rushed to the hospital because I was having contractions so they wanted to make sure my baby was okay. Also the driver hit us and ran. The cops never found the car. In order for me to get my car back on the road I had to purchase a steering column, a rack and pinion, and steering knuckle and suspension out of my own pocket. I was never informed of a recall.

Grand Marquis 8-cyl

  • 30,000 miles
I have had two flat tires, one front and one rear. Both happened while the vehicle was parked. Once in my garage and the other in the parking lot of home depot. Both about a year apart. Both tires were inspected by my mechanic and both tires he had to replace the valve stems as they failed. I am glad it happened while the vehicle was parked. I notified Ford Motor Co. Of my problems with the tires and received no satisfaction. The vehicle now has 35000 miles on the Michelin tires and I can't wait to change tires and valve stems. I read somewhere that the 2007 Mercury Grand Marquis was one of the Ford products that has a defective tire valve stem made in china. It should have been a recall back in 2007.
