The contact owns a 2009 Mercury Grand Marquis ls. The contact stated that the accelerator and brake pedals were entirely too close to each other, causing the contact to simultaneously depress both pedals. The dealer was contacted and the contact was advised the bleed the brakes. The dealer also advised that the specifications of both pedals conformed to government regulations. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact believed the pedal design was defective. The failure mileage was 12,932 and the current mileage is 23,000. Updated 10/13/10. Updated 10/19/19
