was on road going 45mph ,stopped at red light ,gave gas to pull out ,car wouldnt do anything ,but rev up and not move. there were no signs that transmission was going out. it just stopped all at once. had to push off road and have friends pull us with a rope to thier house. we were 100 miles from home .had to leave car and get friends to take us home. finally, got car home with a tow dolly our friend loaned us, after almost a month . cant afford to fix . it really sucks and ill never buy another ford or mercury product.

i live on ssd and ill never be able to buy another car. so now im stuck. ford-mercury needs to recall ,as ive seen lots of complaints here and other internet sites about these transmissions. i gave 5000 for car in 2009,piece of crap now.
