Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

I have a 2002 mitsibushi Galant ES and I was involved in a wreck involving 3 autos and I hit the back end of the second car, crushing the grill in toward the radiator, and neither of the airbags deployed. And this was a hard impact. These are put into an automobile to be a safety feature and they failed to work.

2002 Galant sustained head-on collision at apx. 45mph. (Galant was stopped and another car ran a stop sign and slammed into the front of it) and the airbags did not deploy. This was mentioned to the repair shop and I was told that the impact was not "severe enough", which I found very hard to believe. Now I see that it is a normal occurrence with this poorly designed vehicle.
