Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Please take a moment & say thank you by donating $5 or whatever you can to the Center for Auto Safety.

Galant 4-cyl

Good morning, I purchased my 2005 Mitsubishi Galant ES in June or July of 2005 with approximately 1,400 miles and for the pasted few weeks I've notice the passenger air bag is rising/separating more and more of the dashboard exactly above the glove compartment silver trimming. I contact the Mitsubishi dealer (866-346-0796) on Sept. 10, 2013 where I my purchased the vehicle and explained to them in detail the problem with the passenger air bag. The service writer asked for the last eight digit of the vehicle VIN # which I provided. The service writer pulled up the history in his computer and advised me that the car was out of warranty and there is nothing they can do about. I was very surprised by his answer and told him I will contact Mitsubishi Corp. Office to find a resolution to this problem before it get worst. And for the record I've previously owned two montero Mitsubishi SUV.
