We had a spontaneous sunroof glass explosion. We were driving down the highway approximately going 65mph at night, and there was no other vehicles around. All of a sudden there was a large explosion sound. I thought at first that a tire may have blown. I then heard a large amount of wind coming from the top of car. I pulled over to inspect and saw the sunroof was shattered, with many of the pieces on top of the inside shield.

The first time I drove this vehicle in the snow I realized that the wipers are placed below the heated part of the windshield. This causes the wipers to freeze up and not clear the windshield properly reducing visibility. I think that an angled wiper arm that places the wiper over the defog would correct the problem.I've driven in snowy weather twice since and it has happened each time.
