This is an extremely dangerous problem because the car just stalls in the middle of the motorway. the car eventually starts after 10 to 15 min but all that time you are stuck right in the middle of the motorway. Have taken the car to a nissan garage in Midrand i.e CMH Nissan and they did a diagnostic on the car AND their response was that the Head need to be replaced at a cost of about R11000 to R13000 because the car was overheating. This was and is nonsensical because the car has never overheated and l have never added more water to the car since last year. I am a very frustrated man and my next car will definitely not be an Nissan.

I have a Nissan Almera 2003 with 79000KM on the clock. The engine suddenly cuts out and stalls with no warning while driving, engine light comes on, wait about 5 to 10 minutes and is able to start again.

I took the vehicle in to have it repaired with the Pietrmaritburg Nissan Dealers. They subjected the vehicle to a diagnostic test and found nothing wrong with the vehicle. I had emphasized that i had broken down on the way to them, They insisted that the vehicle was test driven and found nothing wrong with the vehicle.

The vehicle had maintained successful short distances(Town Driving), however, today I have broken down 10 times. This is extremely dangerous to have a vehicle that suddenly stops with no warning with ones family in the car on a busy motorway.

I will never purchase a Nissan again.

Engine cut out while driving. Engine light goes on and engine cut out. Must wait for 4-5 minutes before car starts again. Drive a few km then cuts out again.
