About 4 weeks ago service engine light came on on my Nissan Altima 2000 which has 74000 miles on it.
the codes read out to be P1400 and P0304 and took it to shop and they thought some oil leaked in place of spark plugs so replaced all plugs and cable but still did not work so took it again to shop and they concluded having Air intake manifold gasket leak(which after reading al these complaints sounds correct) and mechanic showed me spraying some fluid on it which sucked in the engine.
thanks to this website where i found so many friends with same problems.
i am going to have it fixed as my gas mileage has dropped a lot.
but as most of the friend mentioned it has to be a recall and Nissan should issue a recall and pay for all the expense.
i think every one should report to www.NHTSA.dot.gov for the issue to be effective to pressurize Nissan.
