CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2013 Nissan Altima has multiple problem trends including the CVT transmission, and now that this model is out of warranty, it earns our "Avoid Like The Plague" badge.

Owners complain about vibration and transmission failure related to the CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission), a whining noise from the power steering pump, and constant windshield problems that appear to be the result of poor design.

Be warned: the 2014 & 2015 Nissan Altima appears to share these same problems.

Brand new car with an annoying rattle under the dash! kinda speaks for itself.

I can't believe that I have had 2 issues already with a brand new car. First issue being a transmission replacement before it was even a year old with a little over 8k miles. The second being that it now needs an alternator after having a few days over a year with only 10k miles. I am seriously annoyed with this even though I do have a warranty to cover it. I leased a new car to avoid having these issues that it seems to me a much older car should have.
