Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Please take a moment & say thank you by donating $5 or whatever you can to the Center for Auto Safety. Notes: Radiators are still cracking, leaking coolant and destroying transmissions. Which is a shame when you consider that otherwise, this would be a great small pickup truck.

Driving when came to a stop then drove car engine revved up. When reached 20 mph car drove fine. Only happens when car stops then goes. Took to shop said it could cost anywhere from 4500 to 6500 to repair. I had truck for only 9 months and am still making payments. I called jim click auto mall and they said sorry not our problem.

Driving on busy road at approximately 40mph when my truck started to shake, I slowed my truck to approximately 37 mph, when it sounded like my truck exploded. I could not stop and could barely turn the steering wheel enough to get out of traffic just to smash into the curb where I finally came to a stop. The drive shaft came apart, grabbing the emergency brake cable, winding it around one part of the drive shaft, leaving me stranded with minors on the side of the road waiting for a wrecker to tow my truck. Had I have been on the interstate, doing the speed limit (70mph) when this happened, my children and I would have flipped nose over tail, possibly be struck by traffic and seriously injured or killed.

Brakes cannot be properly fixed due to defective rear axle seals leaking fluid onto brake pads and calipers. Have had all brakes repaired and vehicle still does not brake correctly or safely. I have had numerous close calls due to axle fluid on the rear brake pads.Nissan refuses to provide a recall even though this is a serious safety issue. 2006 Nissan Frontier, 75,000.

I own a 2006 Nissan Frontier nismo with 65K miles. Took vehicle to dealer for routine maintenance and recall work. Dealer noticed left rear axle seal leaking which covered brakes and emergency brake with axle oil which in turns makes the brakes ineffective putting my life and child's life and many others in danger. There are many other cases just like this one regarding other Frontiers with leaking rear axle. Please investigate this issue before it is too late. Make Nissan issue a recall!
