Every two (2) years one of the hoses on the air conditioning system bursts due to excessive pressure and spews the contents of the system all over the engine compartment. When the hose burst, it causes the engine to stumble and hesitate as well as causing smoke to come from the engine compartment. We have had the repairs done multiple times at the local Nissan dealer

This Juke has been great until now a week ago. It has intermittently failed to start. All things check out good that usually cause this. The battery, alternator, starter, etc. We have had it leave us stranded and the mechanic cannot find anything wrong. There was a service bulletin sent out about 2011-2013 Jukes saying Nissan knows this is a problems. However the dealership knows nothing about it and less than helpful. They want to charge 160$ to see if they can diagnose it, but it must fail in order for them to diagnose. The problem with that is that it doesn't always fail. There are many days it starts without issue. I unfortunately don't have an extra vehicle to help get my family around while they keep it for several days. We bought this car used, and have had no issues until now. There are many complaints online about the same issue. Seems Nissan should own the fault and that dealerships should know how to help customers it doesn't always fail to start after it has been sitting. It could have been driven and then turned off to get gas, and then won't start. Oh and it always starts after the battery has been jumped off. What is that about since the battery test good. Seems electrical, or software update something. Please help.it seems that other customers have had the ECM reprogrammed and that has seem to help resolve the issue. Southwest Nissan is awful.

My vehicle had started to struggle with losing speed/power while on the highway approximately one week ago. Began to notice a rattling noise along with oil leaking from my vehicle's engine a few days ago. Took it into the Nissan service department right way. Today I was informed that the timing chain had been stretched and was scraping against my engine, creating a hole and requiring a new engine. If I had been on the highway when my timing chain completely failed I could have been seriously injured or dead. Nissan quotes me at 9000+ dollars to replace my engine. They had a 'voluntary service campaign' back in 2014 for defective timing chains in 2010 - 2013 Nissan Jukes. I bought my Nissan from an authorized dealership in 2014, never received any notice nor did any Nissan service department notify me of the issue when I brought my vehicle in.

Juke has difficulty starting sporadically. Attempted to change alternator and battery however it did not resolve the problem. Multiple dealerships were unable to locate source of the problem as it was hard to be replicated. Took car to have battery checked and they stated that there appears to be something draining battery when off. Car has left me stranded multiple times due to not being able to start.

I have had my rotors replaced twice within 8-12 months of putting new brake pads on. The rotors are again in bad shape 6 months after putting ceramic brakes on 7 months ago. My rear exhaust disintegrated and when I took it in to Nissan for a quote they informed me my catalytic converter had a 50/50 chance of going. My mechanic replaced the exhaust system for substantially less and showed me the corroded flange to the catalytic converter and also said it was bad. There is now a whistling noise coming from the front of the inside of the car by the windshield. I took the vehicle back in to Nissan to identify that issue and replace the catalytic converter. They couldn't "recreate" the whistling noise which I've captured on my cell phone. And they refused to replace my catalytic converter under warranty because my check engine light is not on and their computer did not flag a problem with the catalytic converter. I have put over $6,000 in repairs above normal wear and tear. I have no confidence it will even make it to 100,000 miles. A 2012 vehicle with 58,000 miles is a step up from a new vehicle. I am not willing to keep making repairs on a vehicle that is falling apart prematurely. I asked Nissan for compensation towards another vehicle (used is fine) with little to no out of pocket expense. They only consider a buy back of a defective vehicle and that investigation only considers repairs done at Nissan service centers. They would not accept documentation from other repair shops. I have already put in two complaints with Nissan and they offer no solutions. This is an inordinate amount of repairs for a 2012 Nissan Juke I bought new with only 58000 miles on it. And its unacceptable.
