Description: While driving the Nissan Juke the car will suddenly loose power. This appears to happen after having the A/C on for a while and driving speeds exceeding 50mph. At this time once you let go of the gas, begin to break, or just slow down. the car will stall. At this time if you attempt to press on the gas the car will not respond. I will be stall. The problem appears to be reproduceable due to all the complaints that have been listed on forums and on your site.

The car started to lose power while driving with the cruise control engaged, the odometer revved up from 2 RPM to 6 RPM then the speedometer started to descend from 75 MPH to 60MPH without the cruise control being disengaged. Luckily no drivers were behind me as I started trying to brake and pull over to the side of the road. There wasn't any indication that something was wrong on the dashboard, not one warning light. I proceeded to check the diagnostics with my micro mechanic, which gave me a code that the Torque converter was the problem. The dealership ran a diagnostic test and determined that the transmission needed to be replaced.

My car after 80,000 miles started to have severe engine and driving issues. I was in a construction zone on a highway with the speed limit of 75mph and my transmission started to act up. I was low on gas so I filled it up and when I start back on the highway it would gain no speed and the RPM's would shoot up to 6. I road on this road for about 15-20 minutes at 35-50 miles per hour until I could find and exit and a side road to get me to a safe stopping point. I had to shut my car off two time during the duration and both times there wasn't a shoulder so I was in the grass. It was incredibly unsafe, and I found out two of my best friends had this same exact thing happen with their car. Since they have quit making this car and I have found most of the models made have recalls, I find it irresponsible to not inform everyone that has purchased this car of potential issues. I am a 23 years old women and it is remarkably unsafe to think I have a reliable care that out of no where breaks down, after I have done my due diligence to keep it in the best shape.

My wife was driving on a crowded interstate at approximately 70 mph. Vehicle suddenly decelerated to about 40 mph. No power when depressing the accelerator. Pulled over to side of highway. Stopped and restarted. Vehicle accelerated back to 70 mph then again decelerated back to 40 mph. Limped to the next rest area. Vehicle was eventually towed to our local Nissan dealer. Problem was later diagnosed as a failed cvt transmission and the vehicle was deemed unsafe to drive! the transmission was subsequently replaced at a cost of $4825! I had to assume the dealer diagnosed the problem correctly. The vehicle had approximately 124500 miles. Nissan cvt transmissions are notorious for failure with some models powertrain warranty extended up to 120000 miles. Mine was not one of them!

Driving on highway averaging 80 mph. I was not using cruise control. After 30 minutes of driving the vehicle begins to decelerate. I pressed the gas pedal further to accelerate, yet it had no effect. The vehicle speed dropped to 60 mph. I put on hazards. The vehicle continued to decelerate to 50 mph. This happened within a matter of seconds. I immediately made my way to the shoulder of the highway. During this time, the check engine light never flashed, nor did any other indicator light come on. The temperature gauge was well below the halfway point. I parked, and raised the hood to examine the vehicle. The fluids were all at recommended levels. After 5 minutes, I began to drive again. The vehicle slowly accelerated and would not go over 50 mph. I pulled off to the next exit and drove to a gas station. I double checked the fluids and used the owners manual to help identify any dashboard indicator lights that may signify that something is malfunctioning. Nothing showed. I kept the car off for over 20 minutes. I started the car back up and it ran normally without problems. There has been 10 or more other times I can recall where this has happened. This is crap and makes me wish I never got this Juke. I have been to the Nissan dealers all around me and no one can explain this problem to me. There needs to be some sort of recall to fix this dangerous problem. I do not need cars almost rear ending me and drivers pissed off at me because my car wont go. And who has time to wait 20 to 40 minutes to wait for whatever the issue is to correct itself!

I have a Nissan Juke 2013 sv AWD. Since I bought it, I have cvt problems. When I drive long distance and the weather is over 75 F or I drive on mountainous roads, my car stop accelerating. Sometimes I can't go faster than 60 miles/H, but most of the time it's max 40 or even 20 miles/hour. I also have a check engine icon in my dash when it happen sometimes. I got my car checked by my mechanic several times and he ran the electronic test on my Nissan. He told me that this test show a transmission problem.

Car was traveling 55 mph and lost momentum and wouldn't go past 40 mph. The engine light came on. Turned it off and took it to the dealership where I was told a code for a bad turbo. Replaced it at the dealership and was returned to me. Drove it less than a mile and the same thing happen, so I turned around and returned it to the service department. The service department said they had installed a defected turbo and the were going to put another one in. It's been two weeks and they still can find what's wrong with my car cause it's still throwing the same code after the second turbo installed.

I was driving on the highway during a 1.5 hour trip. About an hour into the drive, the car started to decelerate from 75 down to 40. I pulled over to the side of the road and waited for the car to cool so that I could limp it to the dealership. I went to my local mechanic who determined the transmission had failed on a 6 year old car with only 78,000 miles. I took the car to Nissan who has confirmed. Something similar had happened in the past but the mechanic I had taken the car to said he was unable to replicate the failure.

I am a frustrated owner of a 2013 Nissan Juke sl. I am the first and only owner. At about 20K miles, I took the car in for its regularly scheduled maintenance and complained that the vehicle was noises while driving on the highway. I was given, what I know now to be the textbook response, 'I'm sorry we drove the car and could not duplicate the issue you're complaining about'. 30K miles, I took the car in for its regularly maintenance with the following complaint: The car is extremely noises on the highway that I can barely hear my music, thus I have to appear obnoxious to surrounding drivers because my music is louder than theirs, so that I can hear it over the noise coming from under my hood which sounds like an airplane. Furthermore, when I step on the gas pedal to increase speed, the car is slow to respond. Once again, Nissan claims they are not able to pinpoint the issue. 45K miles, the car goes in for its regularly maintenance with the following complaint: While driving on the highway for 3 hours, the car will loose power'it is still noises as all hell, but the car will slow down without warning. I have been high beamed and honked at. This is dangerous to me, my passengers and other drivers on the road. The car doesn't overheat and all fluid levels are fine. Once again, Nissan claims they are not able to pinpoint the issue. This past weekend, I am doing my 4.5 hour road trip again in Nissan's deathtrap they have fondly nicknamed Juke. Like clock work, after 3 hours on the highway, the car starts to slowdown, I called Nissan while it was happening, but he can barely hear me over the loud noise (jet engine sound emitting from under my hood). I took the car into Nissan who could not do anything because they don't look into problems like this on the weekend.

When driving my Nissan Juke the speed started to decrease. As I pressed on the gas pedal, it would not go any faster. I even pressed the gas pedal all the way to the floor and it still would not increase in speed. From 70 mph it decreases to between 40 and 50 mph on the interstate. This is extremely dangerous. I could have gotten hit and road rage is quite real. It took at least, and I mean at the least, 30 minutes to where it would increase in speed. I thought it was going to stop on the middle of the interstate. Very scary and very real. My Juke was also making a buzzing/hissing noise under the hood. Especially when pressing the gas pedal.
