Brought car to Nissan service dept. twice for a total of 4 days. First time they told me they had a Japanese engineer from Nissan analyze my car & everything checked out to spec. The service guy, Tony, said that the engineer didn't speak English, so how did they communicate? When I took my car back the mileage was still the same, 22 1/2 combined mpg in the normal driving mode (& much, much worse in the Econ mode!). Tony said the mileage would improve with time.

The second time I brought the car for the same problem, I was told that 2 Japanese engineers from Nissan looked at it & they can't find anything wrong. I suggested that next time they request one engineer & one interpreter so we will know what the hell is going on! I filled my tank on the way home (in the normal driving mode) & divided the number of gallons of gas I purchased by the number of miles that I had driven. I got just over 16 mpg! (About the same mileage I got in the first car I ever drove, a 1968 Ford LTD station wagon), nice! Again, this problem has been reported since the 2011 model year, what is Nissan doing?
