I have taken it into the shop at least 9 times and they say nothing is wrong with my car. this happened so many times i have lost count and i am scarred to drive this car. I have asked them to buy it back and they refuse instead make me drive an unsafe car. I have rear ended to people at low speeds and have almost went out into the street because i had no breaks when i put it in reverse even though my foot was pressing hard on the break. sometimes it will not go into gear even if i am pushing the break. There is about 5 other electrical issue including refusing to charge. telling me to put my seatbelt on and release the parking break when it is not on.

brakes are unpredictable, can cause accidents

The Nissan Leaf Brakes lost regen and caused me to hit a brick building. Nissan is claiming it was my fault after being totally uncooperative and shady all along the way. I would like to know if anyone else that has had an accident as a result of the brakes not working properly? Have you tried to sue Nissan? Have you gotten out of the lease? or any other remedies that might make this very bad situation less painful? I never want to drive the car again. Don't trust the car. Don't trust Nissan.

Update from Aug 29, 2016: David P. could not find a better way to answer you. Nissan is not going to do sh*t about this until someone gets seriously injured. I asked them multiple times to buy my car back as well. I sent registered complaints to the board members, begged them to just let me out of the lease because I was too afraid to drive it. tried to find a lawyer to take my case but no one would because product liability cases are lengthy and expensive unless it is a class action suit. I finally gave up because it was causing me too much negativity. Lost a bunch of money in the process and unfortunately Nissan won because they do not want to take responsibility for the damage their screwed up braking system is causing and they are bigger and have more money and my never buying another Nissan product has no impact on them. I feel your pain and it's super unfair to us the consumer.
