Tire pressure monitoring system is not working although the air pressure is kept as requested. The light is always ON which makes identification of loss of air pressure difficult to dictate, and can cause loss of vehicle control and serious damage in highways.

While trying to make a turn in a busy intersection, the car stall and loses power it goes into a limp mode. The car slowly limps out of traffic to the side. Note VDC off and 2 red - neg sign brake light is on. Turn the ignition off for a few minutes. Turn ignition back on and no problem. The car starts up no problem. I had the brakes check out and no issues. I took to Nissan dealership. They said it is the alternator. I had new alternator put in 6 months ago. Took back to the company who put the alternator on He said it is working. They said this car notorious for the CVT transmission issues. This problem has happen twice in traffic. This is not safe.... I am afraid to drive this car.

Passenger seat airbag code keeps flashing on with B1018 code present. Read that this is a common issue with Nissan vehicles and that-€™s it-€™s possible there is a recall.

Got car on June 15 after 3:30. Five hours later the car would not reverse or drive forward. Sound like gears would not shift. And the car was also dropped of to me with no antifreeze. I found codes: P1700, P0868, P1778, P0746 and Top Motors who I bought the car from towed the car to fix it but has not told me what was wrong with the car. I have not heard from them and I missed one and a half day of work. They gave me a 6 month warranty but it should have been 2 year warranty. They said it will take at least a week to get it back to me. I have been without my car for 5 days. The car was on Carfax website. I would like a 2 year Warranty and half of the money back of what I paid for the car.

On 2/19/21 I was driving my 2009 Murano on a windy morning down I-90 (issaquah) on at around 65mph in the slow lane, and my closed sunroof glass disengaged and blew off the car, luckily no one was behind me at the time, else it could have been catastrophic. I think this should be cause for a recall, or at least replacement by Nissan Corp. There was no indication of an issue, and we've owned the vehicle for about 8 years. It makes me even wearier than I'm am regarding the issue of "following distance" for cars. It could happen to anybody, and it will happen again, most likely to someone--perhaps with dire consequences I spoke with Nissan service in kirkland, wa and was told that it was "most likely handled by insurance" and that "there was nothing Nissan could do for me."

Recently, a problem arose with my 2009 Nissan Murano's occupant classification system (OCS). The airbag light in my car had turned on so I brought it to the mechanic. After numerous efforts, he suggested that I bring it to the local Nissan dealer. When I did, they were at a loss as to what to do. At the time, I called Nissan North America ('nna') to see if there was anything they could do. After registering my concerns, nna apparently made some inquiries of the dealer and then told me that the car was out of warranty. I brought it back to my mechanic, who reassembled the passenger seat and, surprisingly, the airbag light went off. This solution was only temporary. I brought it to my mechanic again, who discovered a recall campaign on an identical issue which included my car's make and model. Specifically, Nissan recall campaign bulletin ntb08-095, issued 11/4/2008. (also see id #: P8242, NHTSA #: 08V-521.) my mechanic again referred me to the dealer, who told me that 'occupant sensor performed pin test and found internal failure with occupant sensor'. I then contacted Nissan and opened a case regarding my situation (#37964757). I received a response that the OCS in my car was somehow different from those that were covered by the recall. However, when my problems are so similar to those described by the recall bulletin, and the same test that is used for the recall found issues with my car, I don't see why cars with the same OCS as mine should not be covered by the campaign. There is no reason not to. It is the same make and model of the recall and is suffering from the same issue. I don't understand why one group of cars is covered but another is not even though both groups are afflicted by the same problems. I hope that the scope of the recall can be expanded to include all cars that, like mine, pose a potential safety hazard to their drivers and passengers.

Air bag warning light started flashing and does not go off. Dealer (lancaster Nissan) tested the vehicle and stated that sensor or seat sensor could be bad. They were able to turn off warning light, but it started again the next time I drove the car. Estimates to replace sensor ($1,500) and seat sensor ($4,500) seem extremely high. Vehicle has only 39,000 miles and was purchased new. Dealer stated there is no open recall despite research showing 100's of 2009 Muranos with the same issue and a prior recall on earlier Muranos and infiniti's - clearly the same manufacturing defect. Have not taken an action to repair at this point,

I was driving down the highway. There were no warning lights on my dashboard aside from the TPMS light. There was a loud pop noise, so I pulled over to check it out. Within 30 seconds smoke came from under the hood and quickly turned from white to black. Then the vehicle caught on fire. It was completely burned with nothing but the trunk left in tact.

While driving my 2009 Nissan Murano approximately 60 mph on I-5 from portland, or to my home in Washington the front part of my sunroof shattered for no apparent reason. There was an explosive sound before shards of glass rained down on the inside of my car. My sunroof was closed at the time but the shade part was open. Some of the shards measured approximately 6 inches in length. It was a nice sunny day out and the approximate time of the incident was 6:00 pm. There were no overpasses in the vicinity where the incident occurred. I was not traveling near any dump trucks or other vehicles that was carrying any cargo. I could find no evidence of flying debris to cause the glass to shatter. I have contacted Nissan dealership in my area and was quoted a price of $1,311 plus taxes to replace the shattered glass. Fortunately, I was the only person in the vehicle at the time and was able to get over from the 2nd lane to the side of the road to deal with the large amounts of shattered glass that was found in both the front and back seats of my car. It was a very unnerving situation to be in and I did look to if see any other drivers in the area appeared to be effected by my sunroof shattering. I did not see evidence that any other drivers were effected by my sunroof shattering. I did take several photos of the shattered glass for my records. I have also kept larger fragments of the shattered glass for evidentiary purposes because I will be sending a demand letter to Nissan to cover the cost based on previous reports I have just now found out about. I don't feel my Murano is safe to drive knowing that the sunroof may explode again for no apparent reason. I will be driving with my shade closed on my sunroof which defeats purpose of having a sunroof but safety comes first.

While driving vehicle lost power, when trying to accelerate no power and noticed drop in RPM. Also battery and brake lights flickering. Was able to get car home however a week later with my children in the car it happened again only this time it completely died, after having it towed home, after jump start vehicle started right up without hesitation, and ran fine. System checks good and battery is new less than 60 days. Very dangerous as there is not warning to sudden loss of power and stalling. Vehicle lights radiio etc all still work but vehicle won't start. Nissan recalled earlier models alternator for same symptoms however not my vehicle year. Same set up location as the 03-07 models same problems just no recall on 09 models. Car has power lights radio etc just looses ability to accelerate and if engine stalls then requires boosting to be started again. Runs fine after no warning lights and then without warning happens again.

On a main road parked off of a highway, car battery and brake light started flickering, suddenly as I tried to pull onto main road and car randomly forcefully stopped as if went to neutral wouldn't accelerate in any gear. I had to roll the car back into a parking spot quick as possible as there was oncoming traffic. I then turned car off then on and more lights on the dash illuminated, ABS, brake, battery, and trackion control as well. I turned the car off to then try restarting again and wouldn't do anything as, completely dead. Had to leave the car overnight parked til the following day for a tow since it never started back up. Waiting on what caused this problem, definitely unsafe, could have caused a accident due to going into a neutral like mode as driving onto a main road and near a highway
