In May of 2012 I purchased a Nissan Murano AWD SL model. September 2012 noticed A/C wasn't working. Brought back to dealer and they told me that debris punctured the condenser and Nissan wants me to pay $700-$750 to fix it. This is not anything I did - this is a significant flaw in the design of the vehicle. A protective grate of some sort should be made to cover the condenser so this doesn't happen again. I could pull away from the dealer and it could happen again....is the consumer supposed to keep paying for this every time it happens. So far dealer is saying they will not cover this...they are totally aware of this problem and won't accept responsibility for it. I am very disappointed in Nissan and will never purchase another Nissan again. I will go to the Attorney General, news media, social network, whatever it takes to get this out to other consumers who have purchased this same vehicle. My vehicle is four months old with 4700 miles on it and I'm supposed to pay $750 to repair it...I don't think so....

This was not covered under warranty even after an appeal. The dealer said to file a claim with my insurance company. When I told them it wasn't worth it considering my deductible, they wanted me to prepay for the part. I nicely explained that I had bought the car from them so they can just order the part.

This is a real design flaw that will set you back $750
