THe ABS, brake and skid and other lights came on screen with 4WD error At this speed on a bridge with rain and wind to lose ABS is a risk, there was perceived loss of power train and and skid luckily no accident and we pulled the car over to safety what if was higher speed in rain/snow so writting this and also that nissan has a technical bulletin but not covered under nHtSA for them replace for free. THis was all sudden with shake. just like the picture in the https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2021/MC-10190203-0001.pdf We like to know if this is recall and is covered and to be paid by dealer or we have to out of pocket and if NTSB can help us and consumers recover this from Nissan or Nissan should do a safety recall on this part.
June 2021 I brought my 2014 Nissan Pathfinder in for routine maintenance. I was informed there was a recall for the 'Brake Switch'. I had not received notice for this recall but east Charlotte Nissan insisted it get done. Until this date I had NO problems with this vehicle. Right after the recall was done I was driving thru a round-a-bout, tapped the brakes and then had NO Acceleration. There was a semi-truck on my bumper and I had no where to go. I immediately brought the vehicle back to EC and they insisted it was my transmission. They said they found no issues and charged me for work that was not necessary. I continued to brake down 4 more times pulling my trailer from NC to ME. Two incidents were on I81N. I had semi-trucks all around me. Panicked!! I had the vehicle into 4 different dealers, 6 different times. They could not fix the issue. I asked Berlin City Nissan to at least replace the recall parts. They did. My vehicle totally broke down this time, again going thru a round-a-bout. Every light on the dash was flashing. I had no control of the vehicle but was able to roll onto the sidewalk. I was too afraid to drive this vehicle any further. I called a tow truck. Several dealers explained they had seen this already and thought they could repair. None Could. Marc Motors sent that vehicle off to auction, as is!!! I have nightmares of some mom breaking down with her kids in the car. I have filed complaints with Nissan, 10 different departments. Nissan Corporate is telling me the NHTSA is responsible for the Nightmare Nissan has caused me and have 'brushed me off'. I am now in a 2022 Nissan Pathfinder and have identified 3 different issues with the vehicle. One of which is very dangerous. Not sure where to go next. I have all the documentation to back up my claim. Can you help?
After dealership replaced the stop lamp switch and brake pedal position switch, they came back in less than 20 miles to say that the noise from my brakes was from the master cylinder and brake booster. A bill of over $1600 in which I feel is in no way my responsibility but Nissan and dealership rejected my request for assistance. I was hoping that the recall resolved the noise and shifting issues I have been complaining about to two Nissan dealership for almost 2 years. All of my Nissan vehicle services have been completed by Nissan dealerships including oil changes, brakes pads and rotors, battery replacement amongst other devices/ parts. I am a loyal customer to Nissan but disappointed in their response to this bill.
I got new transmission and dealership told me I had to pay for alternator battery and fuel pump and after I got my car back not to mention the dealership stole everything from my car and my car was as till the same and they said my warranty was up and I barely drov E it around and it broke down again

Vehicle juddered and 'shut off' while wife was driving. Brakes failed as well. Luckily, she was able to coast into a parking lot. This is a known issue covered under (at least) recall ntb16-1206 and bulletin ntb17-039H. Nissan was contacted and refuses to repair the vehicle. Nissan case # 42605042.
Brake master cylinder having issues. When I am at a complete stop, the pedal continues to go down to the floor. Am currently having it fixed by a auto repair company
Vehicle makes a continuous whining/wind noise while in motion and when the gas pedal is not engaged (dealerships state that they can not identify the issue). The transmission was changed back in 2017 but is now juddering and slow to accelerate.the electronic power steering pump making a very loud whining noise, no warning lights nor leaks, at correct level for fluid. Replaced new toyo tires at 20,000 miles.
Brake lights illuminate when brake pedal is not depressed.. issue occurs when vehicle is in motion and at rest, including when the vehicle is powered off. The issue has led to battery depletion. The problem occurs intermittently with relative frequency (multiple times per month.
Brake lamp relay went bad and brake lights remained on after removing foot from brake pedal. The problem occurred whether the vehicle was parked, running, driving. On or off. There is a recall on some Pathfinders, but ours is not one. Had to pay to repair myself. The recall needs to be extended to all Pathfinders.
2014 Nissan Pathfinder. Consumer writes in regard to brake failure while driving. The consumer stated while driving the emergency brake light illuminated while driving. The consumer crashed into a fence in order to stop the vehicle.
The contact owns a 2014 Nissan Pathfinder. While applying the brakes, the brake pedal traveled to the floorboard. The driver slid down under the steering wheel to attempt to stop the vehicle with the brake pedal. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where they informed the contact that the master cylinder needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken to asheboro Nissan (1635 E dixie dr, asheboro, nc 27203, (336) 625-2500) where it was determined that the vehicle was designed to operate in that manner. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 74,000.
I had 2014 Nissan Pathfinder and my vehicle was inspected and passed with no issues in June 2019. The day of the accident, I drove all morning with no type of incidents. My niece, who lives on a hill was in the car with me and I picked her that morning from her house. She had to returned to her house later that morning for an item so I drove back up the hill, waited for her in her driveway, left her house and as I was driving down the hill I realized that my brakes was not functioning, my emergency brake light appeared and then all the lights on my dashboard turned on. The emergency brake wasn't working and I couldn't stop the car. I kept pressing my brakes and nothing was happening. It just kept going! at that point, I looked around to see the best place to crash. I came down the hill crossed over one of the main roads and steered my car into a fence and we hit a tree. All of my airbags deployed and I was grateful that both my niece and I had no major injuries. My vehicle was totaled by the insurance company. I had no issues with my brakes in the past! I did find out that there was a problem with the brake software in the 2013 and 2014 Nissan Pathfinders model-years and there was a recall. I bought my vehicle in 2014 however I never got a recall notice. I also had my vehicle service at a Nissan dealership and brake software failures was never communicated to me. Something went terribly wrong with my brakes or the software that day.
Sometimes my Pathfinder does not accelerate when I step on the gas pedal. It typically happens when I am trying to drive after a stop sign or a red light, but sometimes it will even happen when I'm turning into oncoming traffic and trying to accelerate, but nothing happens. It's intermittent, so it does not happen every time.

The vehicle was taken to fred anderson Nissan of raleigh (located at 9225 glenwood ave, raleigh, nc 27617, (919) 324-3443) where it was diagnosed that the brake shift interlock needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure continued. Also, the brake warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle was taken back to the same dealer. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 57,000.
Driving 25 miles an hour on a town road accelerating and the car starts to slow down even if I continue to push the gas petal. The car slows down almost completely before I tapped the brakes and then the car shot and revved forward without touching the gas petal. Also the brake lights stay on even after the car is shut off. It does lile multiply times a day and I know that there was a recall on electric relay for sticking, my car is however not listed on the recall. This began in March and is making it unsafe to turn left in fear of the car not acclerating during oncoming traffic.
Car sometimes does not accelerate when merging or at a stop light press accelerator and car does not move have almost been rearended a few times dealer said brake lght switch was faulty
While driving on the freeway the accelerator would suddenly not respond becoming a life hazard to my family and myself and also other drivers behind my vehicle; the cruise control also stop operating when this occurs. Also the brake light would illuminate without the brake pedal being depressed and with the car being off.
My brake light would not go off. It caused my car to stall as I was driving, it eventually shut off and drained my battery. It was really scary. I took my car in for service at the Nissan dealership. They did a diagnostic test. As a result they replaced my switch assy. Stop lamp and relay. I was really upset to pay for a service that I did not cause. Especially when there was a recall out for the same model, make and of my car I did share with the Nissan customer service my issue.
While stationary and moving my vehicle brake lights have stayed on even when I am out of the car and the car is off. I had an incident in which the ignition button was able to be turned on without my foot being on the pedal, as if the brake pedal was already pressed. The car stutters to accelerate after braking. I worked to have this addressed through Nissan after seeing a recall with similar issues on this year and model. Nissan rejected fixing the problem due to my VIN number not being associated with that recall. I had a diagnostic run by my local Nissan dealer which stated that the brake control and push button stater switch need replacing. I reference NHTSA campaign number: 16V380000 as similar to my case.
